This is something I am always telling my son to get him to clean up a space, take a bath or brush his teeth.
I've said it so much to him that my mind has now echoed it back to me when I too have a task that I may be distracted from doing by other things.
Then I hear my own voice saying 'Do what you need to do then do what you want to do'.
Like him I want to roll my eyes but I get up and do the thing.
Of course, these are the moments when I remember the voice.
Do you have something you say to get yourself to keep on task?
What would you add to make this saying even more useful?
