Listening to a conversation between Steven Bartlett and Dr. Mindy Pelz, a note was made that we there is no blue ribbon for preventing illness because we often don't know what we missed since we never got it.
This is often why I believe that we take our positions of lack of disease for granted.
We don't know what we are missing.
In discussing this same thought with my husband, he mentioned that we could give ourselves a target, goal or mission so we can have a tangible representation of what we are able to do when we are healthy and well. So for example; if we enjoyed our wedding dress, how we looked in it and what size we were at that time, we could use still being able to fit into it as a guide as to were we are. I prefer to use to goal of flexibility, maintaining certain blood check points and painless freedom of motion, as my guides. To each his own of course. But, as you can see, it would take some thought to make the process inviting, inspiring and motivating.
If we believe and agree that what we do everyday will become our life in the future then if we truly want to live a life on purpose; intention and awareness should be used to guide a path in the direction we would go.
Nothing is guaranteed, but if it takes us closer our ultimate goal of health and longevity, always trying becomes inevitable.
Are we willing to try?
Are we willing to give ourselves a reason why?
Are we ready to take the reins of our healthy future?
Time will reveal the answers.
